Kybella is the first and only injectable approved by the FDA for the treatment of moderate-to-severe submental fat. Deoxyhycholic acid, a natural molecule in the body that helps break down and absorb fat, is the active ingredient in Kybella. This product has been formulated to melt away chin fat in the same way deoxycholic acid it breaks down fat elsewhere in the body. It also prevents fat from being stored or accumulating in the future.
During treatment sessions, patients will receive a series of injections under their chin. Typically four to six treatment sessions will be recommended, scheduled at least one month apart. Dr. Deutsch will customize a treatment plan for you to achieve individual results.
