Patient 1: A 40-year-old female was scheduled for bilateral mastectomies. She was 5’4″ and weighed 180 lbs, and wanted to use her abdominal tissue for reconstruction. She underwent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies and breast reconstruction with DIEP flaps. Her photos were taken 7 months after surgery.


Patient 2: 44 y/o female underwent bilateral mastectomies for right breast cancer with a prophylactic left mastectomy. She wore a 38C cup and wanted to stay the same size. She was 5’8, 180 lbs. and had 2 previous c-sections. She had reconstruction with DIEP flaps and pictures were taken 1 year after surgery.

 


Patient 3: 42 year old female was diagnosed with breast carcinoma and was scheduled for bilateral mastectomies. She was felt to be a good candidate for breast reconstruction and underwent bilateral DIEP flaps. She was pleased with her outcome and pictures were taken 3 1/2 years after surgery.


Patient 4: This patient had a previous bilateral mastectomy and had delayed reconstruction with bilateral DIEP flaps.
