Mark Deutsch MD, FACS
Double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of General Surgery, Dr. Mark Deutsch is a plastic surgeon in Atlanta who performs a wide variety of plastic and reconstructive procedures. He has a rare combination of knowledge, technical skill, compassion and commitment to excellence which results in a world-class physician.
Dr. Deutsch began his medical career in Florida. He graduated from the University of South Florida Medical School in Tampa, Florida. He then completed his residency in general surgery at Louisiana State University Medical Center/Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. After finishing his residency, he went on to complete his fellowship in plastic surgery at the Einstein/Montefiore College of Medicine, in New York, NY.
He also completed an additional fellowship in breast, head and neck cancer reconstruction and microvascular surgery (surgery requiring an operating microscope) at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Memberships & Credentials
With a great deal of education under his belt, Dr. Deutsch then joined the practice of Atlanta Plastic Surgery. He worked there for several years, gaining a wealth of practical experience, before establishing his own private practice, Perimeter Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Deutsch is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, an honor and distinction shared by only a select group of plastic and reconstructive surgeons. The American College of Surgeons refers to its members as “fellows.” The letters FACS, which stand for Fellow, American, College of Surgeons, mean that the surgeon’s education, training, qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed rigorous evaluations.
