I just want to let anyone know who's interested in having breast reduction surgery to strongly consider Dr. Deutsch. Harriette was wonderful in helping me make financial arrangements. The surgical center was great and my overnight stay was very comfortable. Pain was minimal during my recouperation period. Dr. Deutsch was wonderful. You did reconstruction on my lower eyelid due to basal carcinoma which was an extremely terrifying procedure for me. I wanted to take a minute and express how grateful and lucky I am that you were my plastic surgeon. After learning I had breast cancer I decided to have a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction to be done at the same time. I was then faced with the overwhelming task of searching for a plastic surgeon capable of performing a new procedure called the DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) flap. After researching this type of surgery, I believed it would be best for me because it would create my new breasts from my own tissue (from my abdomen) without removing any muscle. The surgery also has a very high success rate (98%) with an aesthetic appeal that is hard to match.
I discovered that, because this cutting edge procedure requires more time and precision, and because it is fairly new, only a handful of physicians in the country are skilled at performing it. I was dismayed. Needless to say, I was thrilled when my insurance representative directed me to a surgeon who is very familiar with this type of reconstruction, Dr. Mark Deutsch, located right here in Atlanta.
When I met Dr. Deutsch I was surprised by his experience with the complex procedure and with his calm demeanor, which immediately put my mind at ease. I felt completely comfortable with him and chose him to perform my surgery.
Now, three months after surgery, I am thrilled with the results! I did not realize how natural my breasts would look and feel.
