Liposuction
Liposuction is a popular plastic surgery choice of many men and women coming off the long holiday season. The recovery period is quick and easy with minimal discomfort. You will be able to continue with your daily routine as you prepare for bikini season. Late winter is the perfect time to schedule a procedure and be prepared for the warm weather months. “Liposuction is a short outpatient procedure using mild anesthesia with minimal downtime and discomfort. Patients can expect some bruising and swelling after surgery. A compression garment will be worn over the area for several weeks after surgery making the chilly months ideal for this procedure,” says Dr. Mark Deutsch. The garments will fit naturally under the patient’s clothes and will not be seen by anyone. Patients can resume exercise after 2-3 weeks to continue to tone and ready oneself for the warm weather and vacation time. “The most common areas for liposuction are the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms and neck, but can be performed on any area of the body. Liposuction alone will not remove excess skin. The skin needs to be removed then liposuction will thin out the remaining tissue,” claims Dr. Mark Deutsch.
